Is Tom Brady rubbing it in?

If there's anything people can throw at Tom Brady these days, it is that his New England Patriots are running up the score in blowouts. Over the past two weeks, dominant victories over the New York Jets and Chicago Bears have been marked by the presence of Brady in the lineup late in the game, picking up passing yards. Instead of runing the ball or punting on forth down sitituion. Or maybe it's just his waying of showing that he is the best out there, without runing his mouth like other teams and players.

Panthers lead league in one category

1-11 Carolina Panthers lead the league. HA, The Panthers were horrible in this category. They have had more three-and-outs than any team in the league. They’ve done it 44 times. Chicago and Detroit are next in line with 41 each. with 4 games left will they make the well needed comeback? With Atlanta, Arizona and, Pittsburgh and Atlanta again! I dont see it happing they have a lot more issues other the compleating drives. cough cough a new coach. but we will see.. sunday at 1:00 on fox!

Buckeyes season recap

Ohio State entered the season with legitimate national championship hopes and climbed to No. 1 in the polls after Week 6. Life at the top of the polls was short, however, as the Buckeyes lost to Wisconsin to be out the title race. Although a tough senior class didn't reach its ultimate goal, it kept three very important streaks alive. Ohio State won a record-tying sixth consecutive Big Ten title, beat archrival Michigan for the seventh time in a row and will play in the Allstate Sugar Bowl!

2011 BCS National Championship Game!!

The 2011 BCS National Championship will be with two high explosive offenses. #1 Auburn and #2 Oregon will clash together to see who the number 1 team in the nation. Auburn is coming off a dominating performance against South Carolina in the SEC Championship game 56-17 this pass Saturday. Oregon also coming off a win against Oregon State in the PAC-10 Championship game 37-20. These two teams will have to find ways to stop the other teams offense.
Oregon will have to stop Auburn's passing game and keep Cam Newton Contained. Auburn will have to stop Oregon's Running game and keep Darron Thomas Contained. Both defenses are going to have their hands full in this game. This game will be played January 10, 2011 at 8:30 P.M. ET on ESPN

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

#2 Auburn Comes Back

#2 Auburn Tigers come from behind to beat the #11 Alabama Climson Tide. Alabama came out on fire scoring 24 unanswered points. With 7 minutes left in the first half Auburn had to do something quick to get on the board. Auburns quarterback Cam Newton threw the ball to wide reciever Emory Blake for a 36 yard touchdown pass to get on the board before halftime. After the half Auburn had to do something down 24-7. Two plays into the second half Cam Newton Threw the ball to wide reciever Terrell Zachery for a 70 yard touchdown and cut Alabama's lead to 24-14. Auburn would score again to make it 24-21. Alabama would make a field goal to make it 27-21. With 11:50 to go in the game Auburn would score again make it 28-27. The Auburn Defence would hold off Alabama to get the win. Auburn will now have to face South Carolina for the SEC Championship. With everything on the line for Auburn they have to win this one to go to the National Championship.

OHIO STATE FIGHTS BACK!!!!!!

It was a tough fight for the Buckeyes and Iowa. Both teams faught back and forth for possesion and field possition. At the half Iowa went into the locker room with a 7 to 3 lead over the Buckeyes. Then during the secound half the Buckeyes steped up their defence and held Iowa to a field goal in the third quarter and answered it with a touchdown. In the fourth quarter Iowa scored another seven points but Ohio State answered right back with seven and a field goal. This put the Buckeyes ahead to win the game.

Three way tie in the BigTen

As of last week there was a three way tie for the BigTen Conference Title, between #7 Wisconsin, #9 Ohio State, and #11 Michigan State. All three teams won over the weekend making their records 10-1 overall and 6-1 in the BigTen. They all still have one more game to play. If two of the three lose then that will give the winning team the title and a spot in the Rose Bowl game. If all three win then the team ranked higher will go to the Rose Bowl and there will be a three way tie for the title.
There remaining games are #7 Wisconsin vs Northwestern, #9 Ohio State vs Michigan, and #11 Michigan State @ Penn State.

#9 Ohio State vs #20 Iowa

#9 Ohio State goes to #20 Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes in a BigTen showdown in Iowa City, Iowa. The Buckeyes are coming off a come from behind win against Penn State last week, after a second half blow out 38-14. The Hawkeyes are coming off a defastating loss to Northwestern 20-17. I think Iowa beats the Buckeyes 24-20 because it's in Iowa and because they want to make a comeback from the loss last week.

#1 Oregon squeeze's by Cal 15-13

(1) Oregon 15(10-0, 7-0 Pac-10) California 13(5-5, 3-4 Pac-10)
#1 Oregon couldn't do anything Saturday night against Cal. Oregon was held to only 8 point's in the first half. they were held to a season low 317 yards and only 15 points. They couldn't do anything the hole night. The defence held up but the offence couldn't score. They allowed 124 yards on the ground and only 69 yards through the air. Cal is the only team to hold Oregon to 15 points. They had some opportunities to take the lead but they missed a 24 yard field goal that would of given them a 16-15 lead and possibly the win.

#3 TCU vs #5 Utah

For the first time ever in the MWC, (Mountain West Conference), there will be two top 5 ranked teams fighting to keep the undefeated dreams alive. #3 TCU comes in at
(9-0,5-0 MWC), and #5 Utah comes in at (8-0,5-0 MWC). If TCU wins this game they could possibly go to the title game if #1 Oregon, #2 Auburn, #6 Alabama, #7 Nebraska and #8 Oklahoma loses in the next couple of weeks. This his a big game for both teams and their schools. I think the winner of this game deserves to be where they are ranked next week. Also I think TCU needs this win more, even though they went undefeated last year, to prove to the nation that they are where they should be, and that they can compete with any team in college football. On the other hand the Utah Utes didn't forget about the beating they took last year against TCU. They lost 55-
28 as TCU dominated on both sides of the ball. Like I said I think this will be close with TCU on top 42-31.

Titans Welcome Moss

The Titans are expecting Moss to arrive in Nashville on Sunday night. If Moss were to change his mind and not report Tennessee would send him a five day letter and, at the end of that five days the Titans would have the right to put him on the reserve list. Then he would be out for the rest of the season. Moss status for next season then would be determined by terms of the new collective bargaining agreement.

2010 World Series

San Francisco Giants win the 2010 World Series in 5 games, with a 3-1 victory over the Texas Rangers last night at the Rangers Stadium. After falling early 2-0 in the series the Rangers got their first win in the World Series beating the Giants 4-2 to make it a 2-1 Giants lead in the series. But that didn't stop the Giants as they won the next 2 games to win their first World Series in 56 years.

#5 Michigan State Spartans (8-0, 4-0 BIGTEN)

After a come from behind victory last week against Northweastern helps the Spartans move up two spots in the BCS rankings. With 4 opponents left #5 Michigan State still has a shot at the national title game. They have to hope that a couple of the top 5 teams lose in the next couple of weeks, not only that, but the need to win out. that stars with a tough #18 Iowa team next week at Iowa. Then after that they should be alright. The last time they were ranked #5 was in 1999; where they lost back to back games against Purdue and #4 Wisconsin.

Does Oregon make it to the BCS Title Game

I think after the performance last night against UCLA, winning 60-13. I believe they're the team to beat. I also believe no one in college football as of right now can or will stop the Ducks. Their rushing game is crazy; they average 308.4 yards/game. They also average 260.7 yards/game in passing. They are 1st in points scored with 55.1 points/game. The Oregon Ducks will go to the National Championship Game ranked #1. They will win the Championship by double digits.

Helmet-to-helmet hits

The NFL is considering suspension for helmet-to-helmet hits. They are hoping for people to realize that you can end some of these players career's. Examples in the video of this pass weekend how devastating these hits are.

What do you think about it?

As a football player I know how a helmet-to-helmet hit can be dangerous for the person getting hit and for the person making the hit. I think that the players doing it intentional should get suspended; but sometimes you can't help it. For example if you are coming in for a hit and the other person lowers their shoulder and you accidentally hit helmet-to-helmet then it's not your fault.

Big Games This Week

Big games in the top 25.
#12 LSU @ #14 Florida
#17 Michigan State @ #18 Michigan
#23 Florida State @ # 13 Miami (FL)

Who Wins?
Florida bounces back on track from the loss to Alabama. They will come out and dominate on both sides of the ball and make LSU turn the ball over at least twice. Michigan wins because Michigan State's defence won't be able to stop Michigan's QB Denard Robinson. Miami will win because they will be able to move the ball down the field and get touchdowns, and Florida State will be able to move the ball but Miami's defence will hold them to get Field Goals.

Thursday, October 7, 2010

Do you think Florida State will establish its passing game, befor Miami?

AJ- No, because Ponder has thrown 8 touchdowns and 3 interceptions and only averages 224 yards per game. But its no worry because FSU has rushed for over 200 yards in three straight games. If your run game is good then you'll be okay, because you'll be able to convert on those 3 and short situation.

Pryor not at 100 percent

1:05PM ET
Ohio State Buckeyes
Terrelle Pryor is expected to start at quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes Saturday at home against Indiana, but he might not be at full strength.
Pryor is dealing with a quad injury he suffered against Illinois, and Doug Lesmerises writes for the Cleveland Plain Dealer that the injury could be a concern going forward, even if Pryor is able to play. That's because Pryor said after the game that he could not run on the injury, and Lesmerises adds that if Pryor can't be his usual threat in the running game, that could cause teams to key on the Bucks' passing attack.
The Hoosiers aren't looking like the toughest of teams this year, so OSU should be OK this week even with a limited attack under Pryor. But a road trip to Wisconsin looms Oct. 16, and the Bucks end the season with a murderer's row of Penn State, Iowa and Michigan, so coach Jim Tressel will need his Heisman Trophy candidate at 100 percent sooner rather than later.                                                                    - Jeff Dooley
http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/features/rumors?&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncf%2ffeatures%2frumors

Do you think Pryor will be 100% befor the Ohio State vs. Indiana game?

The latest on Robinson

11:40AM ET
Michigan Wolverines
Angelique S. Chengelis of the Detroit News updated the Denard Robinson injury on Monday, writing that while Michigan's Heisman Trophy candidate was held out of practice to rest, he is at no risk of missing Saturday's showdown with Michigan State. "Everything is fine," coach Rich Rodriguez said.
Robinson tweaked his bruised knee against Indiana, but was able to stay in the game and score the winning touchdown. It's hard seeing how this knee injury will completely go away this season, seeing as how Robinson is running the ball an average of nearly 20 times per game and he'll only take more of a beating against physical Big Ten defenses like Iowa and Penn State in the coming weeks.
As ESPN's Bruce Feldman writes, the Spartans' D should provide quite a test for Robinson as well.
                                                                                                                                               - Jeff Dooley

Do you think Denard Robinson will be at 100% for the Michigan vs. Michigan State game?

#3 Boise State & #5 TCU

Who do you think will rank higher at the end of the season?

Adam- I think if both of them can go undefeated then Boise State will rank higher because if you look at both of their scheduels Boise beat # 10 Virgina Tech (33-30) and #24 Oregan State (37-24) at home. Also if they can go to #25 Navada and beat them then they will rank in the top 5 at the end of the year. Now for TCU they also beat #24 Oregan State (30-21). If the can go to #13 Utah and beat them on the road then they have a slight chance of being ranked higher, but i think they will be ranked in the top 10. In my opinion, Boise State play's the tougher scheduel.

Eli- I think Boise State will rank higher because of their tougher scheduel and the way they play against ranked opponents.

Aj- I also agree with eli.

What we think about the Heisman race

Top 5 Canidates and their stats

  1. Danard Robinson (Michigan) QB- Passing- 53/76 for 671 yards with 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. He has been saked once and his QB ranking is 158.64. Rushing- He has 74 attemps with 559 yards with 4 touchdowns. His longest touchdown run is 87 yards
  2. Image from: annarbor.com

  3. Kellen Moore (Boise State) QB- Passing-43/68 for 585 yards with 5 touchdowns and 1 interception. He has been sacked twice and his QB ranking is 156.82.

  4. Image from: heismanpundit.com

  5. Ryan Mallett (Arkansas) QB- Passing- 70/100 for 1,081 yards with 9 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He has been sacked 4 times and his QB ranking is 186.50.

  6. Image from: secsportsfan.com

  7. Terrelle Pryor (Ohio State) QB- Passing- 51/81 for 715 yards with 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He has been saked 5 times and his QB rating is 156.62. Rushing- He has 36 attemps for 165 yards with 2 touchdowns.

  8. Image from: basketball.about.com

  9. Andrew Luck (Stanford) QB- Passing- 45/70 for 674 yards with 10 touchdowns and no interceptions. He has been saked once and his Qb ranking is 192.31. Rushing- He has 13 attemps for 140 yards with one touchdown.

Image from : docsports.com

What do we think about the standings?

Adam- As a Michigan fan I think that Danard Robinson deserves to be in first place. He has proved himself to his coaches that he should be a starting quarterback and he has proved the same to the nation. He also shows that he can hurt you through the air or on the ground. I believe he is an all around player, opposed to last year when he was a Freshman. He has also shown that he can pick away the defence no matter what they run.

Eli- Being an Ohio State fan I would like to see Terrelle Pryor win the Heisman Trophy, but another good canadate for the Hiesman would be Kellen Moore of Boise State. I also think that Andrew Luck has some of the best stats compared to the rest of the top 5 canadates.

AJ- I don't think Pryor should win the Heisman because he still needs to prove that he can be a passer first then a runner. Other than that I don't care who wins the trophy.
